She sent him another picture, today A cute little pose and he loves the way That she’s done her hair and the dress she has on And it makes him happy and it makes him long To wrap her in his arms and hold her tight Hug her and kiss her all through the night And show her he loves her beyond any doubt Tell her she’s the one he can’t live without The note with the picture tells him she’s true “I want you, I need you, I love you Please send one of you, I miss you so much There’s nothing I wouldn’t do to feel your touch” A tinge of sadness mixed with delight As he reads her message and thinks of their plight He knows that the distance keeps them apart But, the love they share and keep in their hearts Will help them to weather the time they must wait Searching and seeking the hands of fate That will let them, finally, be together To love each other, forever and ever. |
