She haunts my dreams like a ghost in the night
Wandering in and out of my sight
Venturing close, I smell her scent
She’s gone in a flash, I can’t repent

I search for her but it’s all in vain
Her vision in my mind is all that remains
She’s everywhere and nowhere, I’m going insane
I pause a moment, my senses to regain

My every thought is filled with her
All the passion within me stirred
To a raging boil that overflows
This beating heart that cannot hold

A love so desperate, so intense
That all other loves make no sense
Some errant words passed from my lips
Words that she could not forget

That pierced her heart like a sharpened shaft
That brought about her thunderous wrath
And left me here in destitution
Without a hope of restitution

To live my life in sorrow and regret
To wring my hands and sit and fret
Wishing with all the pieces of my heart
To take back the words that tore us apart.

You may be a Junior Member, but there is nothing "Junior" about this write! Beautifully written and kept my rapt attention!

Ah, if only we could take our words back at times...
