We opened a bottle and got the cards out

I didn't want to that but cards have different meanings unless you bridge them

When they are contained within arguments

We all have thoughts as to what will happened

We can all see journeys over something

We can see someone who knows what will happen and adjusts yet keeps it from thee

We can spread out packs of cards and talk for many hours as we do until a dawn rises from a previous night that stayed alive for days

We can play before it happens let life take it's tole

We dance withing the evening

For we

For this moment

Have it all

Hours I spent with my mother when she knew she was going to be ill and

We sat and messed about with cards, dreams, barriers, life, travel and memories

~*~

I spent such a night, no, nights, with my mother on her last trip to see me before she passed away.

We played cards, and spoke of things we had let stay silent too long...we laughed, we cried...

and we said some unsayable things
when only our hearts spoke, thumping,
as they were, during the quiet moments
of hush, little baby, don't said a word...

Next time, Dave...issue a hanky warning, ok?

Yes, Dave...even in the after
there are words...

it may take time,
space

place

but words do come...I know

so many of us have written the words
of after math....

the culmination of the equations...

so this is why
this poem needs to be seen...by those
who know.

Yes...we're here, to hold on.

Sunshine

I suppose it was in the 'one to one'.

Your reply put things better than I could.

There is so much else that happened after that and no-one really knew what we talked about but things happened that broke the rest of the family from me.

If I ever make it to the States maybe we'll talk but from me all I've written is it.

Take care

Dave

Passing

Thanks for the compliment but the photo had to get changed.

I suppose it brings out the dark side.

Take care
