It only hurts when I breathe...Jack Nickolson

Remember Jack Nicholson in the movie Chinatown
when Roman Polanski cut his nose and most of
the rest of the movie he wore a bandage around...

It only hurts when I think about it...

I felt like if I only cried in the rain that
no one would see my tears, no one would know
the extent of my emotional pain...

It hurts the most trying not to think about it...

And that part seemed to work out quite well,
but otherwise, as I tried to hold it mentally
inside, I found that it hurt me like hell.

Maybe we should let people see our emotions, just like you showing us that piece. Sometimes it helps to be seen

I need to become more articulate in saying "Ouch!"  That is one way to alleviate pain.  Sometimes, it works.

Thank you for reminding me.  All of humanity shares imperfection and suffering in one form or another.  I have longed to be superhuman at times.

And your thoughts are well expressed.  Crying in the rain--food for thought--some people cannot be trusted with our feelings.  I wish you a friend worthy of trust to dry your tears.
