Sunshine brought this challenge to my attention.  I scrawled out the following and then I quickly read through the I AM responses to see who everyone else was--without replying to anyone, sorry about that, because all of the I AM responses were so INTERESTING!

I AM

I am quiet and withdrawn
I wonder how to break out of my shell
I hear smiles
I see laughter
I want to help myself, others
I am quiet and withdrawn.

I pretend not to care
I feel other people's pain
I touch souls
I worry about cruelty, harshness & abuse
I cry when I see injustice prevail
I am quiet and withdrawn.

I understand the imperfection of humanity
I say that life can get better
I dream of a happier world
I try not to generate paranoia
I hope that I help others by listening
I am quiet and withdrawn.

Hi Bridget

I like who you are...but this especially reminded me of myself:

"I hope that I help others by listening"

Thanks for replying to this challenge!

You most certainly touch souls, my friend...
and I for one, as well as Paige, have been
highly blessed!

We two have very much in common -- this makes me think of myself in a whole bunch of ways, starting with the first line but most definitely not ending there.

Bridget, you met this challenge very well.
I enjoyed learning more about you and the others who answered.

But into my heart
It was not my lips you kissed
But my soul

You may be quiet, but please don't ever be withdrawn. You have to much to offer the world! You are one whom I would like to get to know better! Reading one's poetry is a marvellous way of learning about their essence. Thank you for sharing some of the true of you by rising to the "I Am Challenge"!

Love & Soul Light,
Linda
