The Story Of Patrick's Day

Now the story goes that Patrick
Was born on the 17th of March.
His Mother looked at both his feet,
Crying out, “his feet have no arch!”

“How will he ever be do a jig
With flat feet my poor, wee son?
Now on every "All Saint's Day,"
He’ll miss all the jigging fun.”

Well, years went by and Patrick grew,
To be quite a handsome young man,
As a matter of fact he was indeed,
The most handsome in the clan.

But on each "All Saint's Day",
He’d hide in the shamrocks green,
While others did the Irish jig,
Patrick was no where to be seen.

Taking off his buckled shoes,
He'd stare at his big, flat feet,
Oh how he wished he could do a jig,
Up and down Killarney’s street.

One day he’d had enough of this,
And stomped down to the old town square,
Jumped up on the stage, flat feet and all,
Began to do a jig without a care.

He started doing a real fancy jig,
And much to everyone utter surprise,
He was jigging with the best of them,
Well, no one could believe their eyes!

The people cheered for Patrick,
“We’ll call this Patrick’s day!”
Okay, I might have kissed a blarney stone,
To send this irish smile your way.

Sharon,
Well now that was neat
So Patty had flat feet
I'm sure the jig was textual
In facted down right sexual.
Lovely write, enjoyed.

Happy St. Paddy's Sharon!

Everyone have a carbomb on me . . .
(that's a draft Guinness with a shot of
Jamieson dropped into it and chugged, very good)
