Momentarily 50

i start to walk slowly
trying to stall my gait,

l3 hours to go;

perhaps i could glide over the no fly zone
and it's really the same as it always was

should i gather daisies along the way
and procreate a parachute for him

(the dreaded always sweetens
when a handsome escort enters
these type of situations)

or will he just know
and be there already.... waiting

with his promise, a round robin
of wishes granted,

when i turn the corner
and exhale,

i'd like to see
that he was always there.

Dear Goddess, a smart would always be waiting for you around all your proverbial corners.

"(the dreaded always sweetens

Perfect! Love it!

An understandable poem, that depicts the feelings of the poet on a sometimes touchy subject...
