My Tea

Each morn I sip a brew of tea
And read the leaves for news of me
And there I see illusions sigh
Forming symbols in the lie

It gestures of the coming weather
Weather storm or touch of feather
Lifts me up from out the grime
And places me a dreamers time

It warms my innards from the chill
Chills that seep realities will
Covers me with fields of green
And graces me a starry scene

It gives me but a moments lease
A moment’s thought a moment’s peace
But in that moment I abide
The force and sweep of mornings tide

What would I do without my tea?
The tea that tends the other me

I tend to coffee in the morn
I suppose I need no reading to show my fate
Or at least none I wish to hear

Another fine poem from a fine poet

Professor,
LOL you can read the grinds in the coffee
make. It's all the same. Thank you and have a good day.

Sunshine,
You can read your own cup but by all means
use my tea.

Not to worry.
