If I admitted to myself
Spoke the sentiment truly felt
The words would echo
Wall to wall,
Echo your name
Evermore.

If I watched you from afar
And wished upon an unnamed star,
Would you feel my gaze
Into your soul and
Know we are but
Time before?

I was promised to the storm
Bought and owned by Fate when born.
Hanging on my cross I cry
For loving you.
I choose to lie
And live a silent lonely life
Chained inside an empty house
Of morrow’s want.
Alas, will I not quench the burn?

Nay, ‘tis sinful thought betrays my way,
Yet,
Thirst I still this endless day.

'I was promised to the storm

For loving you.
I choose to lie"

Those are some powerful lines!!

Very well done!   Happy Holidays!
