I remember the special way she had
of calling out to us,
beckoning us to return to her soon.
We spent precious time
in the bright of day by her side,
         living, laughing,        and loving.
Years passed by and time
did not just wear us down,
but we could see that it had
also changed her.

We aged, as did she
    and time   marched on.

We slowly slipped apart
and she drifted further
and further away
    leaving me with a feeling
              of emptiness.

In the warmth of summer nights
we listened to her gentle song.
When she sang it was a magical,
    spirit soothing lullaby.
We were touched by her grace
and sadly enough, the time that
we shared with her        far to short.

I go there in my mind
and recall those days.
I can hear your voice
in the distance,
         it is faded now
having lost its clarity
in the years before

But, her voice is still clear.

If I close my eyes
  I can see her,
       feel her spirit
and I can still hear her song

      and for those few moments

I am there again
living, laughing,     and loving
on the banks
of Kettle Creek.

Oh God, how beautiful this was, as my eyes moved faster and faster, wanting more, this was tender, endearing and very very special...a soothing float aside something very unique, in a very special place.....

My thanks to each of you ladies, I am so grateful for your words, and to Capt Ron for
always being able to jog an old memory or two and inspire something along the way.  Hugs all.

These are beautiful memories....time may fade away but the memories don't.

Skyshine I have found that some do, but some seem to last forever or else just get jogged to the surface from time to time. Thank you gal.
