North of Hell

0 posted 2004-12-04 05:08 PM

Here I am
motionless
taking it all in,
lost inside
the tangled mess
of where to go and where I've been.
Why do they say,
"She will go places,"
when they don't believe I will?
I'm so tired of trying,
so I'm finally standing still.

Here I am
emotionless
letting go of guilt.
Are you happy now?
You've broken this
life I tried to build.
Why did you say
we would go places
and then refuse to climb uphill?
I tried so hard to carry you.
Now I need us to stand still.

Let me stand.
Let me rest.
Let me breathe.
Let me go.

Why did I think
constant motion
would get me where it never will?
I'm finally getting somewhere,
finally standing still.

Letting go of guilt will definitely steer you towards a more contented time on this sphere.

I read between the lines and if this was inspired by experience then there is someone in these words strong enough to move on after that brief rest.

As far as standing still goes I got a similar feeling when reading this post from yesterday.

Enjoyed and by the way I'm not always certain we are north of hell.
