tell me again why snow melts

And it was gone
leaving the dun again to muddy trees
that cling to cold wet stones
and simple wet replacing the brilliant moist
  that had settled from cut grey clouds
  to paint strokes of pale across wide furrows
  she had cut deep through layers
  long ago laid down when cedar did not yet grow
      or grass tend the wind with fine fingers in bend
    of supple flesh bared to the crease

         then it stormed
    forked tongues of fire
    as spoke the sky deep throated from belly of clouds
    pregnant with the gusts of breath no longer warm
    on the back of our necks as we lay exposed
    in pristine white robes unable to hold crystalline forms
    being washed from skin
        by this horde of avenging drops
   throwing themselves at the edges of oak

   till stillness reigned over the rise of pale sun
   giving bloodless eyes to rough handed slap of wind
   that brought her high from the corner of her sleep
   in stiff peaked roll that grabbed hard to hold
        the cracks formed in brittle skin
    with unrequited wails of cold cold spray
        along sheltered coves
                        green seasons having passed

      Soon the sun will again grow bolder
and night will hike her skirts to let warm enter in
those places she would have filled
        to the smell of burning cedar where sage is offered
     unseeing eyes blind
               but for the feel of wisps that creep along eddies
      born in currents deeper than even soul

        I wait
twisted in the tangled grow of eyes
  that peer towards the west
      wondering if the sky will snow yet this winter's day

    or if angels will find themselves undressed of silk
         leaving only satin to please upturned palms
       that can not hold back the sighs
              or god's laugh should they fail to find
white on white
             or Akashic indigo written in the bones
of one more winter

For several personals...
consider this tucked within

As I finished reading this I realized I felt as though
I had just come in from a brisk walk in the
clean fresh snow...

Beautiful once again Ron.

Thank you sir.

==============================

So you would write this beautiful poem

Soon the sun will again grow bolder
and night will hike her skirts to let warm enter in
those places she would have filled
        to the smell of burning cedar where sage is offered
     unseeing eyes blind
               but for the feel of wisps that creep along eddies

    or if angels will find themselves undressed of silk
         leaving only satin to please upturned palms
       that can not hold back the sighs
              or god's laugh should they fail to find
white on white
             or Akashic indigo written in the bones
of one more winter

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
keep this up and the moth will be doing snow dances...
Wow, just wow, no words!
It is trying to snow here - maybe tonight and I can not wait!
