The Bog

Please help me for I sink a bog
A hand, a rope, a piece of log
I’d even grab a goodly thought
A kindly piece the heart has wrought

It’s true I walked a careless way
Too frivolous the gift of day
And now I’m lost within a fog
And in the mist I stepped a bog

The candle that I held aloft
I did not know the wax grew soft
The heat of which distract my mind
With bobbles of a mortal kind

And now I sink with all I hold
With all this worldly weight of gold
And fantasy that stayed my hand
Cannot pull me from the sand

Before I sink the eons grime
I pray you do not waste, your time.

Ah Sy, this is rich
with layers of time
and everyone's fancy...

Whatever would we do
without our morning stew?

It boggles the mind.

run rhythm/rhyme

Not at all what I expected...thought maybe I'd step into a cranberry lot, or enjoy a piece of cranberry pie...hope your "bogginess"/fogginess passes soon, but not before we hear another tune. hehehehe

Whether on the shoal or on the shore,
I'll seek the lighthouse evermore.
