Dream catcher heart
seeing through the thin of me
touching my bare skinned moments
     as if...

as if you belonged within

while you,
     deftly began gifting in synchronicity
songs that enraptured me,

     note by note

upon my heart you wrote
your heart beat,
and filled my willing lungs with
the very air necessary to breathe,

and as the day turns its face toward night,
I did turn to you for sustenance,
     for the essence of existence,
with longing arms reaching
for the bass line, the substance of you.

Is it any wonder

I feel lost without you?

No, it's no wonder at all.  Beautifully said, Midnitesun.

you could have stopped right there and it would have been perfection....
the rest was poetic extra credit.
Beautiful wistful write Kacy-girl

Poetry is emotion put into measure.
The emotion comes by nature ...
but the measure is acquired by art.
