Resurrecting Memories That Should Have Stayed Dead Pictures thought long gone surfaced the other day, resurrecting memories that should have stayed dead. Pictures that put unnecessary strain on a heart long since quietly settled and in love with Love sitting in her chair in the other room. blissfully unaware of the turmoil a couple of pictures have caused. I lay them down, shuffle though the drawer and smilingly pick up another . . . we both have our memories I see, and neither of us is unaware. I gently tuck her memory back where I found it, softly shut the drawer and am elated to know that tremor I feel, isn’t for a picture I thought long gone, but for Love, sitting just beyond the door. w. james beard, jr. © october 2004 [This message has been edited by jwesley (10-31-2004 08:55 PM).] |

in hurricane Ivan, I knew many people who lost their pictures I'm not one for photo albmus but I have a few pictures that I couldn't imagine losing |
