Passion

Passion plays upon my brain
The strum of real but not the same
My chords are but a finger’s play
Upon the visions of the day

In phantom guise I mask the me
And pluck the stay of ecstasy
I ride the wile of the before
And chide the come of never more

Euphoric tunes of pleasure’s seem
Are phonic threads of phobic dream
That rest upon the fringe of taunt
By night they strum, by day they haunt

But I would never snuff the song
Of lover’s dreams where I belong

and you do this so beautifully...

smile

here:

"Euphoric tunes of pleasure’s seem
Are phonic threads of phobic dream"

You could put that on my tombstone--if I had want of one.

gracefully stunning as always

Oh, if this were to be part of Wranx' challenge, I would say you could see Sy all over this...

but as it doesn't appear to be part of the challenge, well then, most assuredly, it is one of your best ever, Lady Santos...

Thank you, Lady Sunshine!
It was, in fact part of Wranx' challenge, masquaraded for sure, but uncovered by a poetic pro. (You'll notice that it's not even signed.I appologixe to Sy for even trying to imitate his writing. I simple couldn't come close. But at least one person thought I imitated his style. So it wasn't in vane. THose brilliant comments make me want to keep writing like Sy. LOL. Anyway, Thank you Sy for letting me borrow your brilliance. And Kudos to you,Lady Sunshine for uncovering my game.
It was fun!

Thank you ma'am for a double dose of the Sighmeister today, you did him proud.     These two lines were sure Sy's signature Liz:

I ride the wile of the before
And chide the come of never more

Liz, don't fret.  I said Sy after about two
lines,  that is how well you wrote it.
Splendidly, for sure.

What a great *sigh* ! A beautiful write, in its own right. This masquerade challenge has really brought out some mighty fine poetry.
