I dance within the aura of you,
‘neath starry skies in midnight blue
and never doubt the majesty
that reveals a sacred light through you
in every color, every hue
from sunflower yellow to fiery crimson,
through every wondrous shade of blue,
Prussian, and darkest cobalts too

and when I lift my eyes,
search deeply within celestial skies
I see the essence, feel the art of one
who colored angst,
shaded in its true depth
in a release of pain and suffering,
allowing angst itself
to be carried
on the swift sure wings of the darkest crow
to the outer edges of the universe,
beyond this heart’s visible horizon.

And all the while your heart did overflow
truly with love’s golden glow, without any deceit,
a love no mortal was worthy of receipt.

In a moment of dark lonely despair,
you brushed away life into the thin night air,
while the world was yet barely aware
of your artistic grace.
But time’s passage has revealed
your true beauty to millions such as me,
to know what the greatest majesty always did see,
that you were the one and only
who could be

Vincent.

Beautiful Midnite, a wonderful tribute indeed.

and I am haunted
by my illicit exquisite dream
but I can't really wake up
so I just drift in between

adoring these lines:

to be carried
on the swift sure wings of the darkest crow
to the outer edges of the universe,
beyond this heart’s visible horizon.

Kacy, your writing is soaring ever higher these days.  Beautiful writing.

Wonderful, wonderful write ...
and today I see we have both explored the topic "light".
Wow, Vincent indeed had unlocked his heart to the flow of light, which helped to remove the ever present angst!
Love, Margherita

A most eloquent and graceful defining.

Greatly enjoyed!

Kacy~
I was drawn in by the word angst ... it was always Doreen Peri's favorite poetic thought ... and she caught me in the word-web~

I am totally intrigued by this piece~
Thank you~

Had to come back and find this gem...
so many times hes been such a wonderful muse for you...this one is a lovely example of the inspiration found in his colors...
your vision...
beautiful Kacy...love the imagery.

Poetry is emotion put into measure.
The emotion comes by nature ...
but the measure is acquired by art.

I am speechless to find this rich tribute to one of my favorite people.  Beautifully written, Kacy.  Ken

Ken, what a nice reply! Thank you, I didn't know you were a van Gogh fan.
