Before she dismisses them
like naughty children
and they gather in a shrine
of reminiscense beneath
her dishelved shoulders,

she will shake and tremble
and play their martyr,
then for the keeper
be his whore of desire,

the unraveling of her dilemma
is somewhere deciphered
in the patterns of pictures
that tally before her,

sequestered to the ground
in a plaid printed cover,
the sojourning leaves
as revelations fawn upon her.

Hey Michele,

you know someone was just speaking to me of trees and the way you have depicted her here is quite amazing, beautiful actually, just as she was meant to be seen.

You see the world as if through the eyes of a deva spirit...

As leaves do fall away from the tree, so too may all your burdens.

Inky (just had to make a second reply)

Just the other day I laid on that plaid garment...looked up through the trees at the Delft sky...tried to find words such as these, but was too overwhelmed by the beauty of the scene..
You put my feelings into better words than I could find...thank you for this expression..

Come read to me some poem,
Some simple and heartfelt lay,
That shall soothe this restless feeling
And banish the thoughts of day.
