In the quiet, when I write,
sometimes I am not sure
if the weight of my shoulders,
slumped;
takes precedence over this frown
that has replaced a smile.

I do not know what is wrong
or what is right.
I just feel the pads
of my finger tips
click clacking,
as my chest
heaves and tightens.

Perhaps it is this restlessness,
not knowing
if I can be found anywhere;
like a fleck of gossamer
floating upon the fields . . .

But still, I feel compelled
to write what lies
within my soul.
It's a certain something
that stirs me to my very core.

Sometimes, I am not sure
if I reside here or there,
or even if I can be found
anywhere.
I do not know what is wrong
nor what is right.
I only know that I am complete,
when in the quiet, I write.

Oh, oh....
OH!

Ah well...what else would we expect
except silk, floating,
when two of our finest put their minds
together to braid words of such quality?

You both so beautifully captured the feel of soul in the writer and the therapy of written word upon paper - writing is as breathing, a necessity.  Great job!

VERY cool write...Don't quite know who is where here (but could guess).

Yes, I do miss just sitting in the quiet with a thought to put down.

Solid work here, seemed effortless

Wow, collaboration begets brilliance.  It is such an intimate look into the heart of poets.  You serve your title well with your objective, honest approach to writing (both of you).  Right or wrong, if it needs to be said, often you find the poet at the heart of it all.  A great attestation to the unreserved heart and mind of poets and to what the collaboration of two great talents can achieve...a masterpiece of a keeper!  Well done.  Well done.  Well done.

James, thank you!

Ed, I think that a write is
at it's best when you can't tell
who wrote what.  Effortless,
Gawd, writing with Sue was
like just letting thoughts flow
without having to work to try
to 'fit' . Thank you sir,
appreciate it much.

Lori gal, heart hugs to you.
You are such a bright spot here
and so very appreciated.

Kevin....OMG, you have no idea
how much that reply touches me as I am
sure it also does Suzie.

Thanks everyone, you are soooo great
and I am glad you enjoyed.

Suzie?     gawd gal...
thank you....I actually feel like
I've had a few "normal" moments of
life again.....

Wow "Floating on silk" is a wonderful title for this ...
yes that magical moment when we connect with our inner voice, you have described this so very intensely and beautifully.

This is wonderful, ladies... You weave your words well... and they speak for so many of us. *S*
