Should I ramble now,
   or hold these thoughts
here inside
where they rest,    residing
in dormant places;
or let them flow

from pen to paper?

Dormant, my visions
have been for so long

         locked within

but unknown to me
as to reasons of why.

The silence in the air
        lingers so,
although all that surrounds
is turned up as loud
as it can possibly be

but still....

the quiet is found within
          {and what will be, will be...}

I had begged,
I had pleaded

          but tonight?

Tonight, I did not ask,
no, I nary even gave thought
to the writing of words

the voice of inner
steadily increased in volume
until all other sounds
were diminished into
a distant back round,

and I, though being aware
of their existence
no longer acknowledged them.

This prevailing need
took precedence
to a moment seemingly
predetermined,
no longer to be repressed....

days having passed,
     a muse in isolation,
enduring this separation
of thoughts,    no longer flowing.

      {Sweet release would be welcome}

The mind says,
the pen
        can not,
will not write,
but my soul screams    you must....

        You must....

Today, I did not think to write,
but the need told me

that it was time....

{I wanna cry like the rain
Cry like the rain
Shine like the sun on a beautiful mornin'
Sing to the heavens like a church bell ringin'
Fight with the devil and go down swingin'
Fly like a bird
Roll like a stone
Love like I aint afraid to be alone
Take everything that this world has to give
I wanna take any breath I can get
I wanna live } Josh Gracin

Isn't it wonderful
when we have the key
to unlock
those very reasons?

Enjoyed this, little one.

Sunshine, why...of course it is...
when we finally find them...

Cpat, you made me smile,
thank you. I am sure many
of us know nothing of obsessive
natured muses!

Dixie, sometimes thinking can be good,
lol...other times it just plain makes my
darn head hurt!  lmao.  Thanks gal.

Never resist the soul's scream! The well of inspiration wants to flow ... as you show, so lovingly.

Enjoyed your reflections, gentle spirit.

Love and Joy.

Donna,  I agree with the 42 font exclamation
of JM....Ramble on.  I think your muse has
got you fooled...cause you are doing just
fine!!

you shine, even in silence.
we all see it

but here, your voice sings
and we all want to sing along
