I have slipped through the ages
laced in the beams
of the silver moon rising,
and beveled reality's edges of time;
I've hunted the paths
of the golden moon's yearning,
for lovers
and loose bits of rhyme;
I've scavenged the trails
of new moons in waning
for vantage points offering gain,
but the blue moon that's coming
offers a door
chosen by no man who's sane;
it belongs to Diana
the Huntress of yore,
and her dark Northern sister Morgaine;
last time in haste I raced to escape
the grasp of the goddess
of mortal man's pain;
by the great oath I swore
I managed to gain
both freedom and scars,
but with the two of them knowing
I've trespassed before.

sigh....I'm not sure what to say to describe the thoughts conjured on this piece but I loved it!

It must be nice to have things so well defined.....nice in some ways, hell in others.

"and beveled reality's edges of time"

What a cool line. Beveled edges just offer more space to slip over the edge.

"freedom and scars"

so if you were to follow that temptation again would you be so lucky the second time??

Forboding but grand reading, Icebox.  Thanks for the reminder about the Blue Moon.  Think I'll do a little research..... ....jo
