It's own razor edge carved out my tongue,
by rights it should have been torn.
My words have me by my fingers strung,
with no one my death to mourn.

The ashes of madness blind my eyes,
forcing from them tears of blood.
Feeding upon me are swarms of flies,
clinging to me like dried mud.

Blind rage slipped my neck into the noose,
spite brought me to the gallows.
With love of life I declared a truce,
death my sacrifice hallows.

Clotting blood fills up my hollow mouth,
making silence my refrain.
Like birds in the fall fly to the south,
behind me I leave all pain.

Expectations have broken my bones,
shattering my soul as well.
I bruised my body by casting stones,
paving my own road to Hell.

As gangrenous rot eats at my mind,
all thought breaks down and decays.
To my lot in death I am resigned,
blessing the end of my days.

Deeply dark and demented. Death would percieved a curse to most but for those who understand pain, indeed, death might seem a blessing. Wonderful, as always.

Yet another great poem Dream. Sometimes I feellike I've earned my way into Hell, too. But sometimes it feels like Hell would be a welcome escape......

"...and hell's afraid I'll take over."
But I think it should worry about your reign my friend, true terror indeed.

At what price prudence?

You know my feelings on this topic ... but it is nonetheless well expressed here.
