First it was just hours
Fresh and not yet healed
Lost in self-denial
From this fate that had been sealed
And then it turned to days
That never seemed to end
Chasing off the comfort
That my conscience tried to send
And then it turned to weeks
Time had lost control
Running quickly nowhere
A nightmare in my soul
Then weeks turned into months
As pain began to mount
With no way to retreat
And tears too great to count
But months turned into years
And with it numbed the pain...
'Cause clouds can only stay so long
Before there's no more rain

Loved the pacing and rhythm of this one. And I like the theme too. Very good.
