Peering into the dark of inside Searching for the soft ache Just where did it hide Gotta catch it before the mess it will make Tripping over old hidden inside stuff Afraid to turn on the light and see them all Should be pretty empty in here is my bluff But each one I bump inflicted a little pain making me crawl How can I tell which one is new Or have all the untreated ones issued a new pain I don’t really need this inner trip into blue Listening to the old aches sing a painful refrain I don’t dare make this trip too often I thought as I retreated from the inside Sort of feeling like I was inside a coffin But the songs of all the inner pain collide Making is clear to me through the din I sure ain’t dead within Sure is hard to describe Sure is hard to abide [This message has been edited by Goodknight (05-04-2004 02:49 PM).] |
