whispers
too silent to hear
yet
they scratch
a yearning upon my heart
etch an aching
in my soul
and cry
for a need to focus
to hear
to know
what it is
that I’m to do
who it is
that’s calling me
which way to turn
to find the path of understanding
and how to rest
as I abide
with a willing heart
to be
and do
a reflection
of You

whispers do turn into shouts on the heart at times, yes, good perceptive words
