Listening to every heart

0 posted 2004-04-24 11:17 PM

And here begins

This is where the song
Begins
A mark in time
I’m sure
This a voice to listen in
And fall to depths of pure
This is where the song implies
The heart of one’s own soul
The timely keep of lover’s leap
This destiny, your goal

This is where the flowers lie
A bower at your feet
This is where my heart once died
And a dirge
My mind
Digs deep

This is where
The hollow sings
The lamplight glows
So dim
This is where
My falters lay

A grave, to memory’s whim.

Karilea - if I whisper, will you listen?  Keeping in mind, I must stand close...

I will simply say...well done.

Let my words fall first upon deaf ears before a closed mind...

This leaves me wandering about my own beginning...nicely done, indeed

What if the hokey pokey is what it's all about?

I like this poem very much, but it is the skillful structure of it that truly is impressive.  Thank you for sharing it.

You have such a nice way of reflecting....

These lines are melancholy shades of life but so well written...

Karilea, I really like your rhyme scheme in
this one. A little different for you, but very good, still.

Excellence.

I never read a poem of yours without going away a better person, and a better writer.

This is an amazing piece, K.  I feel as if I read another side of you.  Does that make sense to you?   I will tell you, your words have impacted my thoughts this night and perhaps for days to come.

Superb piece.
