He’d say something like...

I can’t believe I sent my son to you!
I can’t believe I let him DIE for you!

2000 years and you’re still a wreck
The lesson he TRULY died for man has forgot!

A poor carpenter schooled the intellects
he threatened their power and they killed him for that

He got in their face and said, how stupid are you
you created law to replace a God where everyone has to answer to YOU!

Catholicism came along and played the same sad song
Replacing an empire with a church telling the public you’re ALL wrong

You cant read the books, you can’t pray to Him
Worship his mother, and confess in this bin

Priests say the magic words and youre forgiven
Then they commit their own sins, they kept hidden

That church failed when the poor came around
A rebellious priest got enlightened when the books came around

He told them they were hypocrites and they knew he was powerful
Luther was their leader, but they wanted him a follower

He broke out got a wife like priests should
Nailed a message to their doors made of wood

But his message got lost, what revelation teaches us
With the true spirit of God NO ONE needs to teach us

No need for preachers teachers prophets or men
Just ministers that impart the spirit that wants to dwell in us

So get out of your buildings, stop segregating yourselves
Get off your pious platform and mix with the rest of us

The world wont accept what seems to be phoney
Guilt dishing preachers that exchange hand outs for “glory”!!!

Powerful, but not without error... salvation is based on individual choice, not religious affiliation. Many Catholics have been saved by the same Grace as Protestants... only Jesus can truly save us sinners. I'm Pentecostal, but not every preacher/member in my denomination is saved. We must try to win others with His love.

just wanted to read again and thank you for your reply on mine. yes i've told him off, can't wait for day reality slaps him a wakeup call. apparently he's like others who only learned from jesus dying for our sins, that placing on another is ok. they didnt learn the forgiveness lesson, or that mistakes or just mistakes. can't wait to read more of yours

An interesting piece.  There is no arguing with the facts of history ot the truth that homo sapians are a fallen species.  However, I choose to look more to the other side of mankind. Without ignoring the evil, I look for the good and noble character of God's creation.  My God is indeed one of us in spite of all our faults.  My compliments on having the courage to print your thoughts.  Carry on, poet.

I don't mean to start a war here, but...growing up, I could never understand who gave a man the sacred right to say..."your sins are forgiven"?  And since a child, I've always questioned, why there were more statues of the Mother Mary then there were of Jesus?

Oh Brad, you have touched many long forgotten questions in my mind...good one, God bless you for standing up and defending "His" great offering to us.

Thanks Everyone, I especially enjoyed your response, Lee. Yeah funny how there are alot of statues of Mary, and yet Catholicism wont allow women as priests, evenmore if a man slept with a woman that "taints" him so they require celebacy. Yeah, Grover, thats the point I was making is that we are supposed to have an INDIVIDUAL salvation and catholicism opened the door for millions, but as an institution they are still propetuating the heirarchy institutions put in place to keep the powerful men in those positions. blah blah blah... Jesus saves and let the Holy Spirit reveal to us wisdom and gifts and the conviction of the Father keep us on a righteous path. Take care, y'all
Brad
