The Sound Of A Heart Breaking

The room cold........... filled with exhausted silence.
A light flickering casting ghostly silhouettes.
The only sound is the beating of a heart-
Someone's heart breaking
Don’t you hear the cry of pain?
The Keening.
Listen!
Sobbing, curled in a cocoon of sadness.
Hear the cracking as if it where slices of ice on a winters pond-
Breaking into millions of tiny little pieces
Being crushed as if of no importance
The labored breath
The uncontrollable sob of torment.
Listen!
Can you not console this weary soul?
Can you not lift their tired spirit to the point
of
starting to heal?
Always in a hurry, running through life.
Not noticing the beauty nor the pain.
Listen!
Don’t you hear the crashing of your
tears
pounding upon the pavement of life?
Don’t
you
gentle reader
Hear the breaking of your own tender heart?

Love Bon-Bon

Sometimes there is no consolation to give... but we can always listen... though listening to our own heart is pain we often avoid. *S*

Beautiful write, sweet lady! *S*
