The Elephant I Here hides the elephant I Behind the remnants of a sigh Hiding behind impossible small Hiding nothing, nothing at all. What makes us think that we can shrink? Behind the shadows of what we think Behind evasions dance of conceal Avoid realities true of reveal. Each of us a space of form For a little while a state of inform There is no way to hide the wend We all go from here to the end. Of course each takes a different path But really friends a bath is a bath So why not dry the elephants eye And change the sigh to a great big high Just let the shrinking violet debut An elephant made a presidents coup. |
