You gave to me the stars,
so far away but yet so reachable.
Your friendship took us places
we could never have anticipated.

You gave to me the midnight sky,
so vast but yet it wrapped me like a blanket.
Your warmth and tenderness gave me the courage
to explore things I never would have tried.

You gave to me the moon,
so fleeting with the teasing clouds but yet so illuminating.
Your guiding spirit lighted the way
to teach me to believe in myself and all that I am.

You gave to me the stars, the sky and the moon
and a world of passion to last a lifetime.
For all these things I will love you forever
but it will be the sweetness of the little blue flower that I will always cherish.

You will always be my shining star!

Wow, now that title intrigued me! And I found such beauty here. Glad I found this!

What would we romantic hearts ever do, if there were no stars and no moon to reach out to?

Very lovely write.
Love, Margherita

Margherita...we would find something else to reach out for,I think...romantics like us will always find the prince inside the frog....thank you so much for choosing my poem to read.

To be given the stars, the moon and the sky, how lucky you are. This is a sweet poem. Maybe your friend is the lucky one.
