Passions, It’s Nice To Know Ye

You came around when I needed you,
you were there when I didn’t look,
you’ve come to be the better part of me
like the pages of a well-worn book

troubled spirits, distressed souls
under close scrutiny, lost control
forward bound and heaven bent
angels listened, then Passions sent.

like the pages of a well-worn book.

As in real life, there’s history,
a page for you, a page for me,
lessons learned, lessons taught ~
and the ears that I have sought.

So to Passions and its Poets here,
know to me you are so dear,
you’ve come to be the better part of me
like pages of a worn book's history...
