Living In Fantasy

There are some that live in fantasy
Never knowing the truth of reality
They weave blankets of dreaming sorrow
Believing they’ll be free sometime tomorrow
Yet they don’t feel truth’s bright touch
Losing themselves in seeking too much
Hunting for something they don’t know why
Losing their hope by seeking lies sigh

They wander rooms of rainbow’s weave
In imagination they seek to yet perceive
A thought or a whisper of lovers true call
They lose love’s reality in dreamers’ high hall
Lost and alone they grab hold of a dream
Believing that it will bring them joys unseen
Never do they realise they’ve lost their way
Instead they hold fast to lies persuasive sway

They seek love but they don’t realise
That love is truth it doesn’t deal in lies
But they blind their souls with their own hand
Drive out the light and in darkness they stand
Then pray that their fantasy becomes somehow real
Hoping for a dream they can perhaps feel
Once in their realm of fantasies build
Lost, they can’t walk across love’s fresh field

There are some that live in a world of fantasy
I would they could know love’s truth is reality

I lived in fantasy for most of my life... reality just wasn't much fun. *S* And it's easy to be fooled... then fantasies seem not just better but safer. *S* But when it's right, reality makes fantasies seem pale and insignificant! *S*

I like this very much, my friend... well done!

Hello Marsha

You have painted a wonderful picture here that holds so many truths.  It is so nice to see you here again and I hope all is well with you.

Take care......Sue
