on a night such as this

long ago, i looked out my window
on a night such as this
the blazing moon was larger than ever
and it illuminated the foggy grounds.
as i gazed out past the skeletal trees
somethins in the swamp caught my eye
a slow moving phantom
was clear among the hazy grays.
i couldnt help but feed my curiosity
so i put on some warm clothes and stepped into the night.
upon entering the open air, i found it to be strangely warm
but the moon's light had disappeared.
No the spectre ahead of me continues to shine
its guiding me to itself, a path kept open, leading ahead
i must stay in the light or the darkness
will swallow me whole, body and soul.
upon arrival to the place previously occupied by the ghost
i find that it has faded away into the fog
and i am left alone in silence.
quietly the rushes speak to me
the voice is so familiar
but yet so far away in my past.
memories are starting to flood back into me
and the ghost i saw once before appears in shining glory.
the one who i thought was to me
is becoming more real by the minute.
with this new realization comes a new horror
you remember all ive said and done.

ghosts, phantoms, and spectres
never appear to show forgiveness
but they remember past eternal s
and take their revenge with much pleasure.
i cant resist the urge to follow you, my past love
you lead me to my own
this end is one that youve prepared for some time
i follow you to the depths of despair and drown in dark endings.
words never meant to be muttered are screamed open faced
and the slow descent to lonliness' bottom makes me ponder
the cries and anthems recorded in my mind.
are you crying for my help or my ?
my answer to you is to no longer
fight the downward forces pulling me closer to balance
for balance in the body spells
im so close to equilibrium.
what was once to me
has made me to her.
cycle this on and on
but change the details just for fun.
meet the shallow shoveller
who digs my grave closer to the surface than the rest
it makes it easier for me to escape once im alive again
but dont worry, that new life is far away

this is nice but rather depressing.... nice to see someone not afraid to put their feelings into something as judged as this. keep up the writing....

I thought that was awsome. My poems are usually long too, with a lot less words though, but i think that makes it even better. Well.. i loved it.. keep writing.
