Empty,  hollow,  dried up inside
the warmth is slowly cooling
the soft side that once shined so bright
is fading slowly away
as I watched the sun setting on the horizon last night
I got chills
because
I saw faint, almost scary likenesses
to
my heart.
and all the good it used to hold
and all the love it had to give
and all the warmth there used to be
all the things that made me, me.
I saw them in the sun last night
What scares me is
is
that I always wanted that when it wasnt there
I always kept my head up
knowing it would come again
now...
like the glorious colorful light
in the evening sunset...
even the want is
fading.

Strive for higher levels, if they seem out of reach... Grow, and they will get closer.

In Your Poetic Mind

this is amazing! I have read it 3 times now and pull something different each time....yes exactly how poetry should be!

There's a place I like to hide-open your mind to me-Visualise your dream- Record it in the present tense, I am smiling next to you, in silent lucidity
