My Thoughts Will Be With You

Upon the midnight hour
As fireworks light the sky
We join in celebrations
To the old we say goodbye

Giving toast to the future
Where the new shall unfold
Lets take time to reflect
In saying farewell to the old

Whilst ringing in the new
On the last day of December
Thoughts will be with you
Each friend I shall remember

The counting down begins
As this year comes to the end
I take this time to thank you
Heart to heart, friend to friend

Well done, Hope! But you forgot some stuff, which I'll add in for you, as I'm sure you would have written yourself if you had had the time.

This is the time to not forget,
What 'Deer and Toe are like.
They're scalawags and rascals, yet,
They come across real nice.

They write their pretty phrases,
To tempt the maidens to all swoon.
But they're mercurial and abrasive,
And grow hair with the moon.

Only Long John is truly nice,
And can be trusted to be quiet.
So tell him of your deepest vice,
(And he'll find someone to buy it.)
