The Mule

I sutured my trail, downed the sail
And in this cast, the past of bail
For the future is no more, no less
Then moments in moments address

I buried my head recklessly
Ferried in this astral sea
And kissed ergo head and toe
In the glow of my mystic sew

It was a way to salve the sigh
To valve the epoch of the why
A double-edged sword, in swings
To cut the fore and aft of things

To borrow the now to thereafter
Cut sorrow and raise the rafter
To bide upon this jell of prime
And mark it well in timeless time.

And in this course, have lost the be
And crossed a horse, with a donkey.

I saw a burro, recently
who brayed and brayed, incessantly,
but when a hand strayed to his head,
he brayed no more, and thus, was led....

Sy,
Your words are always so musical.   Sometimes I have read them more than once to understand them because there is so much incredible imagery and music going simultaneously--your writes overwhelm my senses (but that's a good thing...)
