I Found The Need To Write

Attempting to be a poet
So perhaps one day I will
Writing down my thoughts
The pages began to fill

Attempting to be a poet
Began with a steady flow
In verses filling notebooks
My desire began to grow

Attempting to be a poet
Verses growing in stages
My muse and I embraced
With affection onto pages

Attempting to be a poet
Unlocking many emotions
With heartfelt sentiments
I pen dedicated devotions

Attempting to be a poet
Not to grace the spotlight
But from my heart within
Became my need to write

Attempting to be a poet
I will make no commotion
My heart whispers softly
While expressing emotion

thanks Dixie , my writing began quite late in life ..... emotions I had once hidden deep , I cringed at the early ones I penned
