Spun from desire, heart and mind
            released upon a souls whim
networks of wires on imaginations ride
            where one's falling is
            personified

            through branches of winter trees
            bared by timeless ends
            threads of romance woven
            suffocates and strengthens

            stagnant air fills im with
            longing and dreams
            lofting the unaware
            the body unseen

            now taken, by surprise
            presenting as a gift
            by this surge of passion
            in its dormancy time
            with words a drift

            but only a season, these
            starcrossed tides
            cresting unlived dreams
            where the sightless confides

             with unmet eyes
             tired, unread
             can only sumise
             and be put to bed

             morning stars split
             as dews are wept
             on shattered branches
             neatly kept

             wondering if the night magic
             was just wishful thinking
             or an empty promise
             a whim gone a stray

             and sinking

This reads almost like a spell -- Yes, I'll call it an afterspell. You two blend like gin and vermouth.

Thanks, one and all, for your read and kind words.
It wasn't very hard to write with Michele and
would recommend everyone to give her a whirl!
She is quite light on her feet!

Gin and vermouth .... with a splash of pearl onions!!!

Thank you, goddess, for the opportunity.
