Into a person’s private prayers
Crosses the columned white porch
Not looking back at the home we’ve left
Nor looking at the right hand more swollen
I volunteered initially to select the images
Life sometimes turning to makeshift…second fiddle
Still collecting pictures, finding
That those with the most emotional draw backs work best
Isn’t it amazing that we kept on going
With our eldest son rumored dead
Our lives in Ruins…we kept on shopping for the best
A door opens on its own, in its own time
Speaking a language invented by other people
My shadow responded, smiling, circulating energy
Pointing to sound, light and vibration, merging
Practicing professions soberly in thought forms
A brief holiday with our names in it
Wherein lies that certain moment
Growth through personal dignity, peace
And depth of character, includes accepting
What is, rather then struggling to transcend it,
Which is what my athletic coach inspired
Self-perseverance. Determination
And faith filled spiritual convictions.

Hi Sy, thanks for your comment, but it's not me thats endeavoring to persevere, I'm trying to enlighten others to do so...to stick to their guns and fight for what is right...to change the world and believe in themselves, cause if you can't believe in yourself, you will never believe in another, nor will another ever fulfill your needs.  I'm trying to convince people in the light and glory of life, and how valuable it is and can be...to rebuild what has been broken down...I'm trying to say, it's time we open our eyes...we shouldn't have in this country hungry people, people strung out on drugs...so many mentally ill people, people living in the streets...people who have very little respect for themselves, let alone others...Oh Sy...if I could do one thing in this world before I leave....just one wish...I'd like to see people live in harmony and be fulfilled with the joy of love and self perseverance...to believe in themselves and realize how many lives each one of us effects....in our decissions, what we speak, how we live.  I wish, just for one day, the sun could shine on all people and no one would go hungry or be sick, and all people would know the love that is within their souls, and the capabilites of it.  How very powerful it really is.  It all starts within.  Thank you Sy, for always reading and commenting, you've always been so supportive of my poems since I've been here, and of that, I'm greatful for.  It's the courtesy and kindness you project in doing so that I am aware of...and wish to thank you with my best wishes for a good day, for you and yours.  Smile and hugs
