state of confusion

A murky grotto housed by hoary fears
and sticky walls of red regret.
Places where hurt resides
go in and out with tides.

Lightless recesses hold the eyes,
sad eyes frozen for infinity.
Without warning, they open,
closing too slowly.

Triggered senses send out feelers.
Tentacles sing the sting of release.

Corinne~  You write so well and with so much depth.
I loved your poem and it loves me.

Lightless recesses hold the eyes,
sad eyes frozen for infinity.
Without warning, they open,
closing too slowly.

Yea, that!!

I think I just
took over your migraine.

Excellent, Corinne.
But now I have to go lay down
in the dark!
