take my words,
they mean nothing to you and
let me have them back,
to string around my neck,
in pearls of wisdom
knowing that there
is much for me to learn
in this life...
still

Reading this poem today makes me feel a little better about something I'd said and I wished I hadn't. We do need to learn from what we say. I love the thought of taking them back as words of wisdom that we can learn from. Thank you for sharing this.
