Tell the Whole Truth

Tell the whole truth, not just part.
Start all over, right from the start
Don't leave out anything, tell it all
You can do it, and please don't stall.

Anyone would tell you just go away.
If you couldn't come to them in an honest way.
If you couldn't come to them where they knew for sure it was you,
Why wouldn't they get tired of the anonynmous games, too?

If you cared why didn't you come to me as yourself?
Why wouldn't you want me to know it was you?
Why all the anonymity? Why as someone else?
Were you afraid your feelings would be misconstrued?

I never hid my face, I always came right to you.
Spread rumors, and lie? Was that what I was supposed to do?
I never went behind your back, and talked to anyone we mutually knew.
I needed someone to talk to, but I wouldn't do that to you.

If there was someone who was not a friend that would be you.
You were offered so many times a way to talk to me.
You knew I would not call you coward like so many others would do.
I didn't think of you that way, that's not the you I was able to see.

The thought got stuck in my mind, and I said
something I really did not believe.
I didn't see you that way that's not something about you I could concieve.
I idolized you, and those were words on which I would not have tread.

But now the way you have treated me
after so many years showing me not an ounce of regard.
Your ignoring me, and the threats.
I didn't want you to keep opening the wound,
it all became too hard.

I've said hateful words, and that so many times,
because you played with my heart, and mind.
Never coming to me so I would know it was you.
You posed as so many people, if helping me was what you wanted to do
You knew me, you knew, I would think that to be so kind.

If I had asked you to go [then] I could see you feeling pushed away.
Maybe you felt I wouldn't accept you.
But don't you think I should have been the one to have that say?
If you had came to me as YOU, not someone else, I think I would have, and so do you.

You knew I thought of you in such high opinion.
I told you that so many times.
You, and your opinion I held in much value.
Why wouldn't you come face me as YOURSELF?
By doing that, don't you think, I would have thought you to be more true?

This poem is about an online encounter. That's why the anonymity was able to be done.

oh my!! how well i know about this situation it's happen to me also and i never will understand why they do it? i guess it's the high they get from it?

Q...it's hurtful. I'm sorry this happened to you. It's not a game, and i never saw it that way, but that's not a sentiment that was shared. The other person I only hope he finds what he's looking for. I get VERY angry with this man, but when it comes down to it.. I just want him to be happy. That is all. Hey lady.You poured your heart and soul into this and it shows.I'm proud of you for sharing this and letting it out.It cleanses your soul and let's the person see that they could have handled it different.Even if he doesn't want to open his eyes to it at the moment.You are strong in heart and will forever shine in your beauty.

(big hugggsssssss) Oh Shara, I too had an online relationship recently that lasted over a year but ended abruptly on New Years Day with another Passions poet here, Joanna! (sad sigh) For over a year she told me how she loved me so much and dreamed to fly on an airplane and meet me and then on New Years Day she said she never did love me (her comments and poems left here are evidence she did love me once) and then said she never wanted to talk to me again! (sad sigh) This is exactly why I NEVER tolerate liars, God wants us to tell the truth so He can consider us our friends and in the beginning there was the Word and Truth was spoken from the word which God spoke! The same goes with friends, and I deserve to be scarred for life if I ever tell a lie! (sad sigh) I send amny angel hugs your way, sweet friend, God Bless You, you are a wonderful and golden soul, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Shara, thank you for sharing!

Well Noah I know the truth about me, and I'm sure you know the truth about you, but like *you* said in the beginning the Word was God, and the Word was with God. GOD knows *all.* And HE knows the truth. He doesn't WILL that any one would suffer. Our sin nature brings that on ourselves. That's the consequence thing. When a person does something wrong, no matter who, there will be a consequence come from that. Lies are an act of deception. It's an -ACTION- that snares people in with the one who is doing the decieving. If I have ever lied, and deserved my scar from this person in the poem then I think HE should come to me,and tell me what it is. You said this person never wanted to speak to you again after showing love,and proving it publicly that she loved you. Well that's wrong, and I think we *ALL* have a consequence for our actions. Not just a choice few. But ALL of us. NO ONE is exempt. No one escapes that. I am sorry you had to go through this. Hurts to be treated as though you are something that matters so much and then something happens, and nothing. Not a word as to why. God knows the truth. He sees it all.

Online has so many pitfalls..some are honest,
caring and honestly concerned,  some are
far less...I have friends who have endured
the same hurt,  and when that happens,  it
creates a wall that keeps us from continuing
to share and give freely.  I hope you are
well,  and I wish you the best in any future

Thank you Magnus. I learned my lesson. And to bring it home all the more it's an ongoing thing for nearly 5 years. In my past there has been a few break-ups and never have I ever exp'd someone that said go, and then they wouldn't go. I don't understand that. If someone tells you to go it's confusing when they don't do it as well. Live, and learn...that is for sure. Thanks for the well-wishes, and my heart goes out to your friend. I have never heard of a person doing this. Usually leave means just that, leave. Part ways. Be on your way, but>?

Well if you ever find out would you be so kind as to pass that along to me? I know I would like the answer to that myself. No doubt about that. Sorry that someone has been less than honest. It really does come for free. It's of no charge to just tell the truth. ANd if a person is afraid what other people will do then were they a friend to begin with>?
