Faith drains away
In rivulets of pain
I leave façade of shelter
Embrace the icy rain

The scorch and sizzle
Stink as lightning flashes
But flesh survives
Only dreams are ashes

I time my screams
To coincide with thunder
But with none to hear
I am left to wonder

Why I stand in storm
Just to hide these tears
That empty my heart
As hope disappears

Well written gal...some times wind from storms will dry tears?....or, you can always take a few more number three's?....Love the way you can make the words do your thoughts

(big hugggssssssss) God Bless You, dearest friend, this deeply touched my heart and I hope all is well with you as I send angel hugs your way to chase the storm away and let the rainbows shine upon you with faith again! (sigh) This is heartfelt, sweet friend, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Suthern, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

=========================

you know my feelings about "pity party" replies....but sometimes a poem hurts to read and then it seems wrong to compliment it's poetic qualities...
I read this earlier today and was at a loss...still seem to be so I will just let you know I was here...

and you know that I know that you know I know.

And all the rest of it! This is utterly beautiful, Laura....in spite of the biting sadness and doubt in it. This one is going directly to my library....seems like you just get better and better.

Ruth,
Because you know...this too shall pass. I wish faith, joy and love for you dear friend.

If tears could build a stairway and memories a lane, I'd walk right up to heaven and bring you home again.

Ratleader: I think you're reading through very kind eyes, sir... but I'm sure grateful for them. Thank you so much! *S*

Larry: One can hope. *S* Thank you very much. *S*

PS: Accepted and appreciated. *S* Thank you so much! *S*
