Someone comes,
I could see him,
I could simply turn away.
(Don't come near me!
I am shaking
and I don't want you to see.)

Someone comes,
he could see me;
he could run away!
(I am hiding
in my madness,
fooling all who think I'm free.)

Someone comes,
I've been searching,
but my eyes are very tired.
(If I let you,
you will see me
naked as a new born soul.)

Someone comes,
he should know me;
I am all he has desired.
(Yet I'm tattered,
scarred and battered,
shipwrecked on love's ancient shoal.)

Someone comes,
I've been crying;
he could see my desperate need.
(I get frightened;
I am worthless,
just a used discarded thing.)

Someone comes,
in his hunger
there'll be something I could feed.
(You will hate me.
I'll disgust you
when I need to clutch and cling.)

Someone comes,
I am frightened;
he will see inside my fears.
(Stay a while,
you can treat me badly;
I won't mind.)

Someone comes,
he could miss me
hiding in my tears.
(Won't you love me?
I'm so little,
all alone and left behind.)

Someone comes,
I just know it,
he'll be here if I can wait.
(Don't look at me!
You could see me,
then reject what I can give.)

Someone comes,
when he knows me,
will his smile fill up with hate?
(You'll run away
if you see my
dreams are where I live.)

Someone comes,
will he want to look
behind my masks?
(No don't leave me,
I'll go crazy
if you're gone when I awake!)

Someone comes,
I'll distract him,
give him everything he asks.
(I'm so lonely,
feel so empty,
will you be my new mistake?)

Someone comes...
Someone comes...
Someone comes....

A true portrait of vulnerability.

You've got those eyes that see on through, ice.

icebox

You do see through to the heart and touch on the truth for many.  Sad though, and well done!

Some are alone for this very reason...

I can't decide if I need someone just as crazy as me or stability...

I think I prefer crazy...

Icy, your words were felt...

Touching...stopped me in my tracks...too close to home?
Well done.
