Listening to every heart

0 posted 2003-08-20 12:22 PM

Now where are you, my littlest one,
When your mind is frail spent and weary?
Where are you, with your braided thoughts,
When your eyes are brim full, and teary?

In my own mind I am already there
Held in sharing of beautiful moments
Sitting by the lake, words written with care,
Of times given, with a special friend spent.

For this is the spot, the poet's spot
Where our grown feelings and hearts collide...
This is the place, very special place
Where our poetic thoughts may abide...

Joined within the spirit of friendship’s hold
Poetic dreams flowing in written word
Intent, we listen to the stories told,
Mesmerizing lilt by sounds of life...heard.

So this is where we now bind our hearts
To grow in love and these common bonds
For this is where lovely friendships start
by blue water's edge, and a lily's pond

For within my heart, I am ready, there
Where water sparkles and dreams do come true
                   In poetically treasured moments
In my heart, my friend, I am there...with you...

So here we are, my littlest one
Tears now abate by deep water's edge
Under the sultry summer’s singing sun
Words of wisdom are now firmly wedged

Between the air and sky and lovely dreams
Where we gather to watch the stars come play
I shall gaze on you as you walk moon's beam
And we shall duet again, another day...

So very very lovely a duet from two of Passion's finest lady poets.
A bit of a melancholy lilt to it..yet oh so tender.

Has held me in the same embrace~

could this be any lovelier?
what a bittersweet offering of rhymes divine.
this was such a treat to read aloud..and the surreal imagery and tender expressions made it rise off the page like a cloud or whisper.
So glad to see you writing again Donna.
You ladies two do each other a lovely poetic justice in this sharing of rhymes.

Its been a million years since I touched you
I was hoping time would help me win this game,
but being away from you is slowly driving me insane.

I was so pleased to hear Donna wanted to attempt a duet after so many weeks of recuperation time.  I told her that things had to start getting better now that she was penning her thoughts again.  Thank you all of reading...she has missed everyone so much!

A very quick pop in to thank you all.
Passions is a blessing to us all.
I heard a new song last night by the Eagles
called "theres a hole in the world tonight"
The song, is beautiful.  If I could have just one wish it would be that we could all share just one thought for just one moment, let it be for the hole to be gone tomorrow morning......the song is truly an amazing song, I would recomend it highly to anyone for what thats worth anyhow.  lol.
Be back when life is a bit easier, for now,
peace to poetry land.  ~D~

I wanted to pop in again to thank you all.
Kari....
Therapy is continuing to come along.  They have "taped" my spine now and I go back to the doctors on Monday for more evaluations.
It has been a long process, and the pain still is bothersome, but getting better.
Thank you all for your continued support, prayers, and well thoughts.  You are very appreciated.  Peace to poetry land.
