Where no tyranny is tolerable

Bigot’s Song

In which Jaime vaults forty years into the past and assumes the identity of an unreconstructed neo-confederate bombastic primitive loud-mouth who writes:

If you black
Stay back.
If you red
Drop dead.
If you pink
You stink
If you Jew
You who.
If you brown
Get down.
If you Spanish
You vanish.
But if you white
You alright.

To the memory of Chief Connor,
His hoses and his rabid dogs,
And all the hate they breathed,
And all the blood they spilled
Defending the Southern way of life.

Jaime

… The average man in Africa and Asia doesn’t know where he is let alone where Alabama is.
George Wallis
Montgomery, 1963.

How easy it is to forget the lessons that history has taught us... You've given us a true reminder, Jaime - Thank you...
