The early dawn spills liquid gold
Staining the sea with innocence
Savoring last nights candent moments
Of purest love

Between the two of us

The memory forever etched
On a white sandy beach
As waters ablaze in passion
Stain like a heated shield
Provide a covering
As I part with reality

Thinking of you

Each morning as the first golden rays of light
Slip from the sky
I’ll walk the shimmering sands
Feeling your touch with each step
Always

Remembering you

Until the next time…
BloomingRose

Yo, "Rose"! I'm flattered that you like my painting enough to chose it as an accompaniment to your lovely poem, that's all good, but don't you think I deserve a credit? Especially in view of the fact that you're running it off of my server?
Peace, Carson

I've removed the image and will remind everyone once again of our rules regarding using images in the forum.

1. Do not use any image without explicit and PUBLIC permission to do so. Public means that the artist gave permission on their web site for anyone to use it.

2. Do not link to web space you do not control. Bandwidth costs money and using someone's without their permission is the same as using your neighbor's phone to make long distance calls.

Carson, you have my apology and thanks for bring this to our attention. I'm sure Debra didn't realize the ramifications and will be just as quick as I to apologize. Any poet who wants the world to respect their rights to what they create will be the first to respect the rights of other artists.

Apology accepted. It really wasn't necessary to remove the image. All you ever needed to do was to ask my permission before linking to it. There's a contact form on my web site, in addition to which my email address (carson@theoceanseries.com) is on nearly every page... If you want to replace it, that's fine with me. Artists seldom shun publicity! Just please don't use my images without indicating the source. I'm perfectly willing to share the bandwidth IF my name and URL are posted as well.
Peace,
Carson
