Silence Can Be Frustrating

It was a nice surprise
To see your name appear
I kept on saying hello
Perhaps you did not hear

It was two hours later
Your name was still there
Many messages sent
It began causing despair

Finally I heard of why
No replies came from you
An email explanation
Of problems on your ICQ

The loss of connection
Silence was so frustrating
This is two days later
Written while I am waiting

Dear Hope, I feel with you the void of connection, you describe it so well. Yes I agree it can be frustrating, but I can't help imagine what it meant before technology gave us all the means to connect instantly? Days of silence, filled with dreams, but also with sadness ... While waiting time stretches it seems!
Hugs and love. Margherita

Hope~ Don't you ever let go of your name sake.
Technology is not all it's cracked up to be....then again it's our saving grace eh?

Nice poem~

Hope, I'm so glad you did hear, though.
Silence can be deafening, can't it?
That reminds me of a rictameter I wrote.
I'm going to repost it just for you.

Patience is a virtue that often tries our patience in our effort to have it!

Your situation is one we all can identify with!

Hope, keep the Faith!

HopeS - I believe silence is one of the most frustrating things there is. I do not like to play that game at all...
