"the idolatry of demarcation" hmmmmm Interesting. I had not thought of it quite like that, in such a compartmented way, or perhaps you meant as "a line in the sand". Either way, I understand, though I think it falls a little short. Though trite, I might say "self-righteous". You know, "I'm somebody and you're nobody", rather than "we're different". It has the insidious way of keeping the faithful, well, faithful. Seems to be our attempted foreign policy these days, no? Well, shucks, I'm getting too far off the poetry? Enjoying your work.
