DRAMA

I am self-made mockery
hanging strings to limb
creating the drama
noose around neck
a Russian roulette of dreams.

Self-loathing comes naturally
prolific in it's keep,
almost beautiful in it's misery
and I gladly play my part
through the Act of this destruction.

There is safety in sabotage,
torture makes for intrigue,
challenges fuel the death
when I'm close to life.
So I cut my hope into pieces
and red my true as bullseye
predictability is strength
disappointment drowns me in blithe.

Sadism is decadence
bound is sensual,
how good it feels to deny myself,
cage the urges, pent-up tiger
climaxing the lips in cannibal
to spike my lethargy.

And if I really wanted to
I could cut the strings,
but I'd rather sharpen the scissors
on the scathe of stubborn tears.

Thin ice offers the possibility
and I've never been one
to pull the Band-Aid off quickly.

Great Job on this. I thoroughly enjoyed it.

Sounds like you are a type "T" personality too. Maybe we should start a club, but then?
Type T personalities would attend one meeting, and blow it off due to boredom.

Unless of course, there was bungee involved.

I do understand, M.

Enjoyed.

....and thin ice is so....irresistibly exciting!

You are eloquent, honeyed one -- whether you deface your own picture or not, the beauty still shines through....

If there's anything I love about you, patootie, it's your upbeat nature and your optimistic outlook on life.

Seriously, you write dark as well as anyone I know and what makes it more impressive is that it's not your actual nature at all....ya big tease!!

I love it. (Yup, that would be me, too)
